We each live in a situation where it can be difficult to have a true perception of ourselves. We may wonder why we don’t have many friends. David Shannon, President of Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, TN has a sermon with this title that lists why some people find themselves with few friends along with a Scripture for each one.

  1. Are you a loner?

Proverbs 18:1 Whoever isolates himself seeks his own desire, he breaks out against all sound judgment.

  1. Are you rude?

Proverbs 18:23 The poor use entreaties but the rich answer roughly.

  1. Are you argumentative?

Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the sons of God.

  1. Do you explode when you’re mad?

Proverbs 18:19 A brother offended is more unyielding than a strong city, and quarreling is like the bars of a castle.
