In my twenty-five years of preaching, I have had many opportunities to do premarital and marital counseling. In these counseling sessions I have found it profitable to assign homework and outside reading. This book is a product of those sessions and homework exercises compiled into a form useful for a church bible class, small group or a series of counseling sessions. It is my hope that you find these lessons to be of help to you in your marriage.
Though God’s word is relevant for both men and women of all ages, these lessons are intended for men. Men face different challenges than women and it is vitally important for men to have a deep understanding of the Holy Scriptures. It would be a mistake to presume most men already know what the bible teaches about the role and responsibilities of manhood.
Free Bible Study Material
My goal is to help us “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ” 2 Peter 3:18. With that in mind, I have included on this site some of the sermons I have preached over the past few years along with some of the Bible class materials and books I have written.
There are many churches and individuals that cannot afford to buy good study material or who desire to find additional materials that are written without the typical agenda driven liberal/conservative bent. To the best of my abilities, I have tried to provide information on here that is true to the word of God and that will be profitable to spiritual growth. It is my prayer that you will use the things found on this site to the glory of God and to the success of his everlasting kingdom.
